I was looking for a private number plate. Now I'm a reasonably orgainsed person... but  within 10 minutes I was totally confused. I couldn't keep track of the number plates I'd seen, where I had seen them, or how much they were. After a while, the whole thing was a bit of a blur.

So i can only assume that I'm not the only one that's had that experience.

That's when Compare Number Plates was born. It's not been easy putting this website together. It's taken 2 years... and has been a bit of a roller coaster ride. There's more the site can offer to make it easier to find the perfect number plate. But the main stuff is here. A very large chunk of all the number plates for sale can be found here. And there's a wish list... so you can compare number plate prices easily, and keep track of your favourite number plates in your own personalised list.

That's not what we do.

There are over 30 million number plates for sale on here, from lots of number plate companies. Now, we haven't got all the number plate companies on board yet. But we're working on it. Some of them may take a little time. The more you support this site, the more leverage we have to get more companies on board.

And if you're selling a personalised car number plate, choose a company that lists their number plates here to have the best chance of selling.

I know price comparison sites are nothing new. We've all seen the ads on tv. This is the first comparison site for private number plates. There isn't another.
